Our Leadership

Om Guha
Founder
Om Guha is the founder of Sitar for Harmony Foundation and a Hindustani classical vocalist and sitarist whose musical training began at a young age and has continued through years of study and live performance. His work is rooted in Indian classical tradition while drawing from the contemporary music that has shaped him as an artist, including Bollywood, R&B, hip-hop, house, and cinematic music. Through Sitar for Harmony, Om seeks to bring the emotional depth and improvisational character of Indian classical music into contemporary settings and to audiences who may never otherwise encounter it. His performances move between sitar and voice, traditional repertoire and modern arrangements, while his developing original work explores how ragas, Indian instrumentation, electronic production, and contemporary songwriting can exist within the same musical language. Om founded Sitar for Harmony around a simple belief: tradition is most powerful when people can experience it, feel it, and connect with it in the present. Through live performances, original music, collaborations, and artist-led cultural initiatives, he aims to create moments of reflection and connection while carrying Indian musical traditions into new genres, spaces, and generations. His long-term vision is to build Sitar for Harmony into a global platform connecting India, the Indian diaspora, and wider international audiences through music—honoring where the tradition came from while exploring where it can go next.
